Scenic Springside hike planned this weekend
This is a lovely day hike in a beautiful area, with great views and a chance to see plenty of game and birdlife.
ON Saturday, 11 March Durban Ramblers Hiking Club visits Springside Nature Reserve in Hillcrest.

The hike will take members through the streets surrounding the reserve and then through the pretty reserve itself.
There is a R20 donation to the reserve. Hikers should meet and park at 1.15pm – noting the earlier time due to the closing time of the reserve – at the Springside Nature Reserve in Springside Road, Hillcrest. This 6.5km hike is graded two, easy to moderate.
On Sunday, 12 March, hikers will enjoy an outing to Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve.

This is a combined hike with other clubs. Contact the leader to book a place on this hike by Wednesday, 8 March. Immediately thereafter, contact Stella to co-ordinate transport from Durban, if required. Entrance fee R30. This 12km to15km hike is graded two/three.
