A BAKKIE towing a trailer which collided with another vehicle has forced the temporary closure of the N2 northbound at Amanzimtoti.

The N2 northbound will be closed for about two hours while authorities clear the accident scene. The bakkie’s passengers sustained injuries and have been rushed to hospital, while the two elderly passengers of the other vehicle escaped unharmed. If you’re Durban-bound, consider using alternative routes northbound, to avoid the area where traffic is rapidly gridlocking.
