Isipingo CBD raid swoops on criminals

Joint operation involving police from the Ethekwini Outer South Cluster and armed Alpha Alarms staffers nets good results

A strong police and security presence in Isipingo on Friday, 24 February saw SAPS members from the Ethekwini Outer South Cluster and armed Alpha Alarms staffers engage in an operation in Isipingo’s CBD.

Led by Isipingo SAPS acting station commander and vispol commander, Lt Col Rossouw, Alpha members helped police bust suspects for possession of dangerous weapon, drug paraphernalia and pirate DVDs.

A suspect found in possession of a large screwdriver is alleged to be part of a gang responsible for robbing members of public and trucks near the vicinity of a local wholesaler. These operations will be ongoing.
