Five injured in head-on R603 collision

Several more injured were apparently transported privately prior to the paramedics’ arrival

Five people were injured on Sunday morning when a bakkie and light motor vehicle collided on the R603 at Umbumbulu.

ER24 paramedics found both the light motor vehicle and small bakkie on the side of the road.

Five adults had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

They were treated for their injuries and transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. It understood that several more injured people had been transported privately, prior to the arrival of paramedics.
