WATCH: Fire guts Winklespruit family’s home

The fire started at about 8.30pm and residents rallied together to help the family.

A family in Stockdale Road, Winklespruit lost everything in a house fire on Sunday night, 5 February.

Fortunately the husband and wife vacated the house in time, but one of their dogs is not accounted for.

The fire started at about 8.30pm and residents rallied together to help the family.

Toti fire department responded to extinguish the blaze and no injuries were reported. The house was completely gutted. The cause of the fire is unknown and will be investigated. The flames were extinguished at about 10pm.

Neighbours have started a collection of clothing and foodstuffs for the family.

Drop-off points include 16 Stockdale Road and 14 Shirley Road (Lee-Anne on 079-515-2368) and Hit The Spot Restaurant and DKD Hair Salon at 29 Ocean View Road.
