A short three days after a joke-telling session turned fatal in Lovu township, police arrested a man for the murder of Mxolisi Myende (27).
He was stabbed to death at about 12.45pm on Saturday, 22 October, at Sisonke Salon in Lovu Township.
It is alleged that Myende was making jokes with friends at the salon when his attacker took exception to the jokes being made and stabbed him.
A case of murder was investigated by Amanzimtoti SAPS and a 32-year-old man was arrested, charged and appeared in Umbumbulu Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 25 October. It could not be established whether the accused man pleaded to the charge.
