Addicts rob scholars of R2, bag

The men saw the approaching vehicle and fled across the road.

Two primary school pupils were robbed of R2 and a school bag by two suspected whoonga addicts at the corner of Gokul and Samsunder roads on Monday afternoon, 24 October.

“A patrolling officer saw the incident unfold and immediately rushed to the aid of the little pupils who were found in tears,” said Alpha Alarms communications officer, Krishnee Naidoo.

The men saw the approaching vehicle and fled across the road via a container storage depot.

The officer pacified the crying pupils and the school’s deputy principal responded to the site of the incident.

He searched the vicinity for the thieves, to no avail.
