Brody bags SA surf team berth

Brody will host a fundraiser at the Winkle Lifesaving Club on Friday, 2 September.

Warner Beach surfer Brody Rudling (16) has been selected for the KZN team to compete at SA champs taking place in Jefferies Bay in October.

“This is my first time with the eThekwini Durban central team,” said the Amanzimtoti High School pupil.

“I was stoked to make the team. My previous best was a quarterfinal. The SA champs are very competitive but I will do my best.”

To raise funds to travel to the champs, Brody will host a fundraiser at the Winkle Lifesaving Club on Friday, 2 September. The cost is R30 per person. There will be braai facilities and a cash bar. Take your own meat to braai.

A pair of Skullcandy headphones and a pair of Oakley sunglasses will be raffled to raise funds

“I am looking for more gifts to be handed out on the night,” said Brody. If you can help or would like to make a cash donation, call Caroline on 031-916-3149 or 084-245-9352.
