Business burglar caught in the act

A BUSINESS burglar was nabbed in the act on Monday, 13 June.

ET Rapid Response South Coast managing member, Tony Lokker said their control room received multiple activations from an alarm at a service station in Winklespruit shortly after midnight.

“Upon our arrival, reaction officer Welcome Khuzwayo saw a man climbing out of the front window of the premises,” said Lokker. “He switched his vehicle’s lights off when he approached the scene and caught the men by surprise. After a short chase, he managed to apprehend one man. Two others managed to escape.”

Thanks to officer Khuzwayo’s quick response and stealthy approach to the scene, the robber was charged and detained.
