Athletes urged to marshal for upcoming cycle race
Weekly time trials are on Wednesdays starting at 5.30pm and 6pm for runners (both over 4km and 8km).
MANY thanks to the Amanzimtoti Athletics Club members for attending Themba’s one year unveiling ceremony and donating the blanket and picture frame to the family.
The club calls for volunteers to assist in marshalling for the cycling club with the annual 69er race taking place on 10 July. Forward your names to Johnette on 082-964-9999 or email toti.ac.secretary@gmail.com.
Time trial results: 4km walk: D van der Merwe 37.33, A Kretzmann 37:33, S van der Merwe 37:59, B Wagner 37:59.
4km run: T Mntungwa 20:15, M Mzimela 23:53, T Mrwetyana 23:55, S Msomi 23:55, R Stewart 24:44, N Hlengwa 26:10, L Els 34:22, A Olivier 34:22.
8km run: T Gumede 36:49, D Swart 38:46, R Sayer 44:32.
Athletes should note that reflective belts are mandatory for time trials.
Weekly time trials are on Wednesdays starting at 5.30pm and 6pm for runners (both over 4km and 8km). Visitors are welcome to join in and should meet at the clubhouse at Hutchison Park. On Saturdays there is an 11km run and walk from the clubhouse at 5.30am for walkers and 6am for runners. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served afterwards.
