The Dick King 21km run and 15km walk takes place this coming Sunday. The club asks all motorists to obey the marshals and look out for athletes on the road. The race starts at 6am and finishes at 9.30am at the main beachfront. The aim is the safety of every athlete taking part and should help be needed in an emergency, every marshal will have the emergency services contact numbers.

The club plans to keep this race a litter-free zone and appeals to all to make use of the bins provided for water sachets and not throw them on the verges but rather drop them on the road if no box is available, for the ease of staff who will rake them up.

The helpers run for the Goss and Balfe Clean Dick King half marathon and 15km walk will take place on Saturday, 2 April starting at 5.30am opposite the Thirsty Whale. The club still needs volunteers to help with the seconding. Give names to Chris Stange. Club members will not be allowed to run on the main race day as the club is hosting the race and will need all the help from its members.

If you can assist with marshalling, call Martyn on 082-876-3751. Helpers will receive a free T-shirt. All club members are asked to put their names down to help on race day or call Des on 082-806-0348 after hours.
