#Crime Must Fall public meeting scheduled

We want to get the public's concern about crime recorded.

A community crime meeting takes place at Amanzimtoti Civic Centre on Thursday, 17 march at 6pm.

“We invite the public and schools from every area which is serviced by Amanzimtoti police station to attend,” said community forum policing chairman, Maestro Mncibi.

“We want to get the public’s concern about crime recorded in order to draft a memorandum to present to the Minister of Police, Nkosinathi Nhleko at a peaceful walk against crime, police killings and social ills on Saturday, 2 April.

Registration is from 5.30pm and the meeting shouldn’t take more than an hour-and-a-half.

This will not be a meeting for people to complain about the police and crime-fighting organisations, but rather to show our support to the police. It is also for the public to come up with mechanisms on how we can support the police and contribute to improving our fight against crime and decreasing crime in Toti.”

For more information, contact Maestro on 073-424-1950.
