Pre-primary dog food donation spreads the love

A total of 130 dogs and cats are fed by 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue.

The young pupils at Tecoma Pre-Primary School brightened up a lucky dog or cat’s day with a fabulous donation of cash and food.

“Every term we choose a charity and for the first term it was 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue,” said teacher Carol Jones. Each pupil brought a R5 donation plus they were allowed to donate extra in the collection tins every day or bring animal food to school.

“We chose Valentine’s as the ideal time to present the animal welfare organisation with our donations.”

A total of 130 dogs and cats are fed by 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue and the organisation is dependent on the community to continue its outreach work.

“We are always so grateful for food and cash donations, which will go towards our love, feed, sterlise programme in the rural areas in the greater Scottburgh and Umkomaas area.

Thank you to Tecoma for thinking of 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue,” said spokesman, Jacqueline Smith.

Donate unwanted goods such as clothes, books, toys, crockery, cutlery or appliances in good condition to one of the organisation’s charity shops. The shops can be found on Main Street in Scottburgh and the Tale End Charity Shop in Pahla Centre in Kort Street, Toti.

You can also donate dry or tin food, old ice cream containers for feeding, old kennels, blankets, linen, towels, collars and toys.
