Vocalist’s passion for singing inspires her to greater heights

Adelei needs to raise funds to participate in the Talent Africa competition finals in Roodeport from 21 to 26 March.

Toti has inherited another singing sensation in Adelei Jade (28).

Adelei, a singer with a powerful voice, moved to the coast from Rustenburg eight months ago.

“Most of my performances were in Durban, so I thought it would be better to relocate here,” she said.

Adelei has always had a passion for music and singing. She started singing seriously at the age of 13.

When she was younger, she received two offers from record companies, but her and her management decided it would be best for her to concentrate on her schoolwork.

She performed during her school years, but only as a hobby until she started to become more popular in the North West province.

“I started to take things more seriously when I performed at functions and people asked if I had a CD they could buy.”

From there Adelei blossomed and she released her first album in September, featuring some of her own compositions. Her music is a blend of styles such as pop rock, Afrikaans and English.

She is a dynamic, versatile and vibrant vocalist who succeeds in using her music to touch her audience and get them up and moving.

“If I can touch just one person with my performance and have a positive influence on their life, then I am happy and I have succeeded in my goal.”

Charity is dear to her heart and she is willing to perform to help where she can. “I just want to be a positive influence, help people and make this world a better place.

The thing that scares me the most is my dreams. Sometimes they seem too big, but that’s how I know I am on the right track.”

She is determined to make her mark in the music industry and is excited about the future and ready to take on any challenge.

Adelei is keen to perform at any event, function, wedding, show and concert.

She recently took part in the Talent Africa competition and was chosen to participate in the finals in Roodeport from 21 to 26 March.

Her manager, Marie Bekker is fundraising for her to afford the trip. If you can help, contact her on 082-656-2824 or 031-903-1151 or email marcorijade@gmail.com.
