Car burglar collared

He was in possession of two large knives.

A car break-in suspect was swiftly apprehended by vigilant response officers in the Isipingo Beach area on Wednesday night, 10 February.

“Officers had concluded patrols with Isipingo Beach CPF members when they spotted a suspicious men fleeing close to midnight,” said Alpha Alarms communications officer, Krishnee Naidoo.

“The officers pursued the man and cornered him on Duiker Road. He was in possession of two large knives. The response officers called Isipingo Beach CPF members for back-up.”

After searching him, they found various keys, a few remotes and other items, including a car stereo face.

The man was handed over to the SAPS.

The officers and members searched for the vehicle that the man had broken into and found a blue Tazz with a shattered window. The owner was alerted.
