Mnqobi disappeared on the evening of Saturday, 26 September.

At the time, he was wearing black shorts and a white, blue and red T-shirt. He has a silver filling in the shape of a ‘U’ on his front teeth.

“We have no information on him and his mother is beside herself,” said Charmaine Le Roux, who employs Mnqobi’s mother as a domestic worker. On the evening of his disappearance, Mnqobi and his brother Thami visited friends. Thami left early and Mnqobi decided to go home later. His family became concerned when they had not heard from him by Sunday afternoon, 27 September.

The family and community searched the area close to his home, called hospitals in Scottburgh and Durban and visited Toti and KwaMakhutha police stations.

“We are going to put up posters in Fakazi this weekend and hope and pray that we get some information,” said Charmaine. If anyone has information, call Thami on 071-927-9953.
