Night rally action as festival curtain closes

The fun starts at noon, with four stages to be run.

The curtain comes down on the 2015 CTH Rallysprint Series on the South Coast this weekend, with the Scottair Rallysprint Festival.

The venue is the farm Drumdarroch, about 20km inland from Umzinto and the action will be fast and furious and will include two night stages to be run after dark.

Will the Scottair ‘SuperPolo’ of Brian and Ashley Scott be up to challenging the snarling Skyline of Trevor Graham and Glen Goddard?

Don’t forget the ‘new’ Corolla RSi of newly crowned champions, Chris de Wit and Toti’s Brian Clifton, and the Polos of Bertus Labuschagne and Peter Chadwick, and Dean Redelinghuys and Amon Meyiwa. The action will be spectacular.

The quad bike section will see a royal battle between Toti locals Matthew Hendy and Nicky Botes. Matthew is currently ‘king of the castle’, having won the title already, but watch out for the ‘dirty rascal’ and his buddies.

The fun starts at noon, with four stages to be run. Then there will be a short break for the sun to set, and then the night action revs up.

To get there from the N2 south, turn inland at the Park Rynie and Umzinto turn-off and follow the road past Umzinto and up the hill past Braemar. The rally area will be signposted.

Check out the ‘KZN Rally’ Facebook page for information, pics and videos of all the action.
