Joint CCPO, police effort bears fruit

We urge residents to join the CCPO.

Co-operation with Toti SAPS and other law enforcement units has yielded success for the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) recently and operations manager, Leon Joone believes this is the way forward to continue to combat crime in the Toti area.

“We have had quite a few arrests, especially with regards to housebreakings and this has brought the crime down,” said Leon.

“We are pushing with operations in conjunction with Toti detectives, the crime prevention unit, uniform members of Toti SAPS, Metro Police dog unit and other security companies.
The past two months have seen several arrests and I believe this has helped bring the crime rate down.

We will continue working with these units and companies.”

Leon advises residents not to leave valuables, such as laptops, in motor vehicles and to report crimes.

“We are pushing hard to eradicate crime in our area and we urge residents to join the CCPO, as with more members it will help us in our quest.”
