A TOTI man (a crime fighting figure in the area) is in a critical condition after a rear-end collision on the northbound lane of the N2, near the Seadoone on-ramp at about 8am on Friday, 25 September.
“Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that a bakkie had veered off the road after impact and slammed into the concrete culvert on the side of the road. The driver was still in the vehicle with life-threatening injuries. The occupants from the other vehicle was uninjured,” said Netcare 911 media liaison, Chris Botha.
After the patient was extricated from the vehicle and stabilised, he was airlifted to a specialised hospital in Durban for the care he required.
The cause of the accident will be investigated by police.
