Finishing touches are being put to the special bend of a burst water pipe that feeds off the Almond Road reservoir, whereafter it will be lowered in, cut and clamped, according to ward 97 councillor, Andre Beetge, after a site inspection.
“The department has managed to install a jumper or loop, resulting in a limited supply to lower areas like St Boniface Maze.
The tanker is out of the area for the moment to refill at the Isipingo depot, but the late shift is set to return after 4pm to continue dispersing to higher areas.
