Tanker, truck and car collide on N2 in wet weather
The N2 northbound carriageway at Doonside has been closed to traffic, following a multiple vehicle crash in this afternoon’s wet weather that has left one critically injured and four more seriously hurt.
One of those in a serious condition is an one-year-old baby.
Emergency services responded to the scene to find a tanker and truck had collided, whereafter a car collided into the rear of the tanker.
According to Netcare 911’s Chris Botha, the roadway has been closed as accident debris is strewn across all northbound lanes.
Motorists are urged to avoid the N2 northbound at Doonside and seek alternative routes around this area
