AMANZIMTOTI Women’s Institute (AWI) celebrated their 80th birthday and prize giving awards on 8 September.

Muriel Hartwig welcomed all members, presidents and guests from various institutes and a special welcome was made to Noleen Walker.

Noleen is the Federated Women’s Institute first vice-president, and she thanked all for attending the celebration.

The tables were beautifully decorated, with a large centre silver gift bag, containing splashes of coloured tissue paper, bright serviettes and chocolates.

Thank you to all members who helped to decorate and bring delicious snacks. Birthday cards were read out, and AWI thanks those who sent them.

Members were advised that Amanzimtoti Welfare will be celebrating its 80th birthday on 18 September.
