A man in his thirties died after he was hit by a car on the N2 north near the Isipingo off-ramp on Saturday afternoon.
A report from the scene indicated the man had tried to run across the highway when he landed in front of a vehicle that was traveling towards Durban.
Netcare 911 paramedics found the man lying on the roadway. He had died before their arrival, due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.
This is the second pedestrian crash this weekend, after a man was critically injured in a pedestrian hit-and-run on the M4 on Friday morning.
