Winkle SLC chuffed over top 10 spots at SA nipper champs

Club members are requested to support them as this is a great achievement for the club.

THE SA nipper champs was held in Cape Town over the past weekend and Winklespruit Surf Lifesaving Club’s two champions certainly did not disappoint when considering their achievements over the entire competition, with many top 10 positions being obtained.

The highlights were Lanesca Esterhuizen with a second in U10 girls beach sprint and Dylan Barber with a second in U9 boys long run. The club is very proud of them both.

Next is SA champs for masters, seniors and juniors next week and the club looks forward to many great results especially with all the hard training taking place.

The five members of Winklespruit who have made the KZN Lifesaving team will be in action on Thursday, 23 April at 1pm. Club members are requested to support them as this is a great achievement for the club.

Masters are also in action on the Thursday morning and then the juniors and seniors from Friday onwards.

The next event at Winkle Club is the fishing ski competition being held this weekend and members are required to help with catering etc. The weighin closes on Saturday afternoon at 3pm so pop down and take a look at what has been caught. After prizegiving there will be a party with a live band. All members are welcome to join in.
