A brazen robber was arrested for theft at Afsaal flats last week after a resident positively identified him from a previous incident.
According to Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) operations manager, Leon Joone, the man attempted to break into a flat on Thursday morning, 26 March.
“The resident fought him off and he escaped,” said Leon. “When the criminal returned in the afternoon, the resident recognised him and the caretaker, with help from other residents, apprehended him and called the CCPO.”
Another resident also positively identified the man, whom she said stole cellphones from her.
