Teen critical after falling from tree

The injured boy's identity is unknown.

A 16-year-old boy is fighting for his life after falling five metres from an avocado tree in Hillside Road on Monday afternoon, 23 March.

According to Netcare 911 coastal media liasion, Chris Botha, they logged the call at 4.30pm.

“The boy was picking avos from a tree that hangs over a fence, above the road. He fell onto his head and arms on the tarmac and sustained multiple injuries, including breaking both arms, but his most serious injury was to his head,” said Chris.

The boy, who identity is unknown, is on a ventilator at Prince Mysheni Hospital.
