Golds’ motto sees them through 50 years of marriage

They have been role models as parents and grandparents.

IT was a golden celebration for Maynard and Jane Gold who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family at Dragon Peaks in the Central Drakensberg on Wednesday, 25 February.

They came to Amanzimtoti in 1973 and their house was the first one built in Mount Road.

“My parents have been an outstanding example to their friends and family, especially their children, always putting God first in their lives and being an absolute role model as far as parents and grandparents are concerned,” said daughter, Denise Glas.

Both are retired and look forward to spending many more happy years together. The Golds believe life is too short to live with regrets, so laugh in the sunshine, kiss in the rain, celebrate happiness and learn from the pain. Live, laugh, love and forget.

They have three children, a son in New Zealand and two daughters in Toti. All three children attended Kingsway High School. They have three grandsons and two grand-daughters.

The Gold family, children and grandchildren wish them all the happiness for the future and many more happy years spent together.
