TWO people died in an accident on the N2 near Galleria at around 11.30pm on Saturday, 20 December.
The accident involved one vehicle. Provincial ambulance services reported that several ambulance services treated four other patients, for injuries which ranged from critical to severe.
KZN Emergency Medical Services urges motorists to be extremely cautious while driving.
They are requested to do the following:
- Obey all the rules of the road
- Drive below the speed limit and slower if necessary depending on road and weather conditions.
- Don’t drink and drive
Pedestrians also need to be cautious:
- Walk on the side of the road
- Before crossing the road, only do so in a safe place and check there no cars approaching
- At night wear white or light coloured clothing
- Don’t drink alcohol and walk on the road
