Kingsburgh welfare thanks community

Thanks must go to our dedicated band of volunteers who ensure our charity shop runs smoothly.

EDITOR – As the year is slowly coming to the end, we at Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare Society would like to thank our community who have so loyally supported us through 2014.

We successfully ran numerous educational programmes throughout the year, reaching hundreds of eager persons wanting and willing to learn new skills.

To the many children who attended our July holiday programme, it was a pleasure to introduce them to things which may not have been possible without the support of local businesses and Lotto funding.

Unfortunately Lotto funding has now come to an end so it is important for us to push hard for fund-raising in 2015. Our society is not government funded. To all our clients who have had help on the social welfare side, we wish you a better year ahead.

Thanks must go to our dedicated band of volunteers who ensure our charity shop runs smoothly. If you wish to donate any clothing, household goods and so on, call our office.

2015 sees our society turning 70-years-old. It is a tribute to past and present members for their steadfast belief in Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare.

We wish our community a safe and blessed Christmas and New Year.

The office is open from 8am to noon. Call 031-916-2274 or after hours: Jenny 031-916-2362; Phyllis 031-916-3282.

We will be closed from Friday, 19 December to Monday, 5 January 2015.
