BREAKING NEWS: Garage full of drug ingredients seized in St Wins

Drug lord's son was found on the premises and is being questioned by police.

A SOURCE close to the investigation has confirmed that police are still processing the Snaefel Road scene in St Winifreds, where a large quantity of chemicals thought to be used in the production of drugs was uncovered on Monday, 27 October.

It is understood the Hawks are involved in the probe of ‘precursors’, which are legitimate chemicals that are obtained and can be mixed to eventually produce illicit drugs.
The son of a known drug lord was found on the premises and is being questioned by police.

The source confirmed that the scene is not a drug lab, but it has been used as a mass storage facility, as a garage-full quantity of chemicals was uncovered.
It is understood that these operations often make use of such storage facilities and move them when required to manufacture drugs.

Police will be collecting samples of the chemical for analysis and processing the scene for forensic evidence. In such cases, police often sub-contract private companies to remove and dispose of the chemical hazard.
The source confirmed that the chemical poses no risk to neighbouring residents.
