Burglars murder Iphala Rd woman

When the woman starting screaming, she was strangled.

A woman was murdered during a house robbery in Iphala Road at about 11.30am on Wednesday, 13 August.

According to police, two men, one armed with a knife, entered the premises by jumping over the wall and tied up the woman and her husband with scarves and electrical cables.

When the woman starting screaming, she was strangled, before the robbers fled in the couple’s Hyundai Atos.

The man managed to free himself by biting through his bonds before sounding the alarm.

Toti SAPS and the Metro Police dog unit were on the scene and a helicopter was dispatched to try and trace the stolen vehicle.

  1. It is indeed sad and unacceptable that people being targets for criminals. Its high time the government need to take drastic measures to deal with the situation. Talk is cheap and is there to value to a life today? I think families who are victims of losing loved ones in such a situation should sue the government for not doing enough to curb this violent behaviour. Or maybe even an eye for an eye. Sorry but this is only my opinion

  2. Please sad but Please when they tell you to be quiet listen to them. My life and family have been spared by doing as they say. Our lives are worth more than matarial things. Sorry for the lose of another life :'(

  3. This is disgusting. Note that the local SAPS did catch 1 of 3 guys and I commend them for that. Of course the FAST FLYING SQUAD could not attend because they claim they never had a car. No car for police but JZ and King Goodwill get home extensions and renovations of around R400 million. Guess who SHOULD be in jail.

  4. Such sad , sad news!!!! I stayed in IPAHLA Rd for 26 years…made a great move to Australia 3 years ago…never regret a day!!!!PLEASE bring back the death penalty and EYE for an EYE is the ONLY answer!!!

    Would you please let me know what the house number was in Ipahla Rd where this unfortunate family lived!! R.I.P. Really hope it is nobody I know!
