Stolen car found

Vehicle recovered near KwaMakhutha.

The Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) assisted Toti SAPS to recover a vehicle stolen during a house break-in in Iphala Road on Tuesday, 8 July.

According to CCPO operations manager, Leon Joone, the thieves made off with a plasma TV and other goods, before fleeing in the owner’s Toyota Yaris.

“Last night we recovered the vehicle in the back of Amanzimtoti, near KwaMakhutha,” he said. “The vehicle was intact, but the stolen goods were missing.”

The vehicle was taken to Toti police station for finger print analysis.

The CCPO arrested two thieves and recovered a braai, stolen in a house break-in in Emoyeni Drive on Wednesday morning, 9 July, when it pounced on the two stripping the braai in the CBD, to sell at a scrap metal dealership.
