Festive feast to help feed Toti SPCA

Cricket bats signed by the Dolphins and the Proteas will be auctioned.

AMANZIMTOTI SPCA has caught on to the Christmas in July-themed holiday craze and has organised a festive fundraising feast for Friday, 4 July.

“We celebrate Christmas in summer with a braai and a dip in the pool or a visit to the beach. However, we have brought Christmas forward so we to can celebrate the ‘classic Christmas’ with a delicious, warm meal to fill us up on a chilly evening. As many families travel over the festive season to visit family or get away from the holiday madness that descends on KZN, this is a great time to get together with loved ones for a good cause,” said SPCA PRO, Michelle Hannan.

The venue for the fundraiser is Lords and Legends’ supper hall at 6pm. “We have put together a menu to suit every taste bud.” The delicious dinner includes honey roasted gammon with glazed pineapple and cherries, roast chicken, with fresh rosemary, vegetable lasagne, two vegetables in season, new potatoes in garlic and herb, savoury rice, gravy, garden salad and fresh cocktail rolls. The dessert is malva pudding served with fresh cream.

A cash bar will be available. “Raffle prizes will be up for grabs and cricket bats signed by the Dolphins and the Proteas will be auctioned. Spot prizes will be handed to loyal supporters. Bring along a Christmas present for one of our dogs or cats.”

Only 70 out of 100 tickets are available at R150 per person. Contact the SPCA on 031-904-2424 for tickets.
