Singers descend on the beach at Easter

Music lovers head to Toti main beach this Easter weekend for the inaugural Oppi Beach Music Festival.

Artists Chante Whelan, Milan Moon, Carl Schulenburg, Megan Bezuidenhout, Anneke Serfontein, Frederick Fourie and JP Duvenhage will take to the stage from Friday, 18 April to Monday, 21 April to wow locals and visitors.  The entertainment gets underway every morning from about 9am and will continue until about 5pm.
“The music festival will focus solely on showcasing up and coming talent,” said director, Martin Nel. “Unfortunately, none of the artists are from Toti, but we have already secured some local talent for next year’s festival.”
In addition to the musicians appearing on Toti’s main beach, they will also do special events in the evenings at Amanzimtoti Lifesaving Club. “This will be done in order to create awareness of the services offered by the lifesavers to the general public, but more importantly to assist the club with its constant fundraising endeavours,” said Martin.
“We therefore ask locals, as well as our visitors, to join us at the lifesaving club for good entertainment and loads of fun.”
