ACL promotes pro-life message

NGO calls on public to support the pro-life movement.

AFRICA Cares for Life reached out to a number of people through its precious feet campaign, which ended in the observance of Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (SOHLS) in February.

“Overall the campaign was successful, we reached out to 13 organisations. However, we still have a lot more to do and we call on the public to support the pro-life movement,” said the organisation’s director, Shanno Enoch.

SOHLS was observed on 2 February, which is closest to the day on which abortion was legalised in South Africa. “There were 8,675 legal abortions in KZN and 82,920 carried out nationally in 2013. These statistics were revealed by the minister of health to the national assembly. In the 17 years since abortion has been legalised, some 1,2-million babies have been aborted.”

She said the statistsics are staggering and that Africa Cares for Life will continue to promote the pro-life message, until someone listens.
