Good Samaritans a god-send

To Hans and Sheryl Hurkans for their support and offering to transport me around.

EDITOR – Good Samaritans of Amanzimtoti.

I was on my way home from Victory Spar on Tuesday, 2 January afternoon at 3pm when I was involved in an accident. A holidaymaker drove into me while I was waiting for an oncoming car to pass, so I could turn into Merritt Avenue and completely changed the rear-end look of my new vehicle.

I am writing this letter to thank the good Samaritans who assisted my mother, Dot Nel and I.

I want to especially thank them by name:

To Hans and Sheryl Hurkans for their support and offering to transport me around, Lorna van der Merwe and family for stopping and assisting my mother while the ambulance arrived and the many calls to ask if we were okay, Sergeant Naidoo and the Amanzimtoti SAPS who arrived quickly on the scene, paramedics, Victor from the panelbeaters, hospital personnel, passersby that stopped to help and to all my family, friends and colleagues for their prayers and concerns.

We appreciate this goodwill and caring nature by our good Samaritans who were willing to assist us, taking time out of their own schedules. This really means so much to my mother and myself. Luckily, nobody was badly injured, no broken bones, just bruises and sore bodies and muscles.
