SPCA receives early Christmas gift

AMANZIMTOTI SPCA received Christmas goodies for both its four-legged charges and staff, due to a generous donation from Elliot International Clearing and Forwarding on Saturday, 30 November.

“Christmas is a time of giving and what better way to celebrate than to give to those who cannot speak for themselves. We took a decision to rather use the money that the company allocates for spending on a year-end function to help the homeless animals at Toti SPCA. We contacted friends, family and service providers who were very keen to give to the people who make the SPCA possible,” said Jenny Potgieter of Elliot.

The company donated 20 x 25kg bags of dog food, presents for staff and volunteers and a lovely cake. “Two staff members travelled from Johannesburg to visit us. I gave them a grand tour and explained to them the work we also do in the rural areas. It is a lovely present for our society and the food donation is especially welcome during the busy holiday period. We thank Elliot for their generous donation,” said SPCA manager, Tracey Girling.
