5 rescued after boat capsizes at Isipingo Beach

It is believed that the occupants were working out at sea when their vessel overturned.

FIVE people are being treated for various injuries after their boat capsized at Isipingo Beach a short while ago (October 11).

ALS Paramedics’ spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson, said the individuals sustained various injuries and are being stabilised on the scene before they will be transported to hospital for further care.

“It is believed that the occupants were working out at sea when their vessel overturned, throwing all of them into the water. The occupants were rescued and brought to shore when paramedics arrived,” he said.

All necessary authorities are on scene and will be investigating further.
