Suspect dies during shoot-out with police in Adams Mission

The suspects who stole a vehicle in Westville opened fire on the police when they were discovered in Adams Mission.

A SHOOT-OUT between suspected car thieves and the police in Adams Mission left one man dead while his accomplice managed to flee into the bush on October 4.

The police, a tracking company and security companies were looking for a Toyota Fortuner taken in Westville.

When the vehicle was located in the Adams Mission area, the suspects allegedly opened fire while trying to escape. As the police were retaliating, the stolen vehicle crashed.

The shot suspect was declared dead at the scene, and the police are still looking for his accomplice.
