Cupcakes of Hope raises funds for childhood cancer
By supporting, donating or volunteering, you can make an enormous difference in the lives of children suffering with cancer - show your support this National Cupcake Day.
MAKE a sweet difference in the lives of children with cancer by celebrating National Cupcake Day with Cupcakes of Hope at Galleria Mall on September 28.
Cupcakes of Hope, a non-profit company and public benefit organisation, raises awareness of childhood cancer and provides funds for about 200 patients each month who need medical and financial assistance. This is predominantly done through its annual cupcake drive.

Mall coordinator Shyanne Kanayee said the event will be a day of fun, treats and awesome giveaways, made possible by heartfelt contributions and generous support.
“What sets us apart from other charities is that we ask our volunteers, known as Cupcake Angels, to ‘bake’ a difference in the lives of their cancer warriors. The only requirement to be a Cupcake Angel is that your cupcakes must be made with love. We believe that we can all make a difference in this world and that all you need to do this is a bit of time and lots of love,” she said.
Every cupcake sold brings them closer to their goal of supporting those affected by cancer. “Your contributions matter, whether big or small. Let’s bake a difference together,” said Shyanne.
You can support the event in five ways: bake and/or donate cupcakes; supply materials such as gloves, boxes and tissues; sponsor a prize for giveaways; volunteer on the day or support the drive by buying cupcakes.
To volunteer, donate or sponsor, contact the mall coordinators, Shyanne Kanayee on 079 343 7291 or Emmie Barnard on 082 770 7998.
