Amanzimtoti Beach Road festive permit system

Only permit holders may be allowed to use the road during the festive season.

RESIDENTS have been asked to take note that metro police will, as has happened in previous years, issue access permits to residents of the Beach Road precinct in Amanzimtoti for the festive season.

Ward 97 councillor, André Beetge, said these permits will grant residents access to Beach Road in case the road has to be closed in the interest of safety or traffic management.

“The permits have been on issue since December 6. The festive operational plan will be communicated to the public in due course, taking into account the upcoming three consecutive long weekends,” said Beetge.

To apply for a permit, a copy of the utility bill, rental contract, or proof of address can be forwarded to Rajin Deepchand on the email address Rajin.Deepchand@durban.gov.za at metro police, Isipingo. He can also be contacted on 060 210 4593.
