Be part of the transformation at Winklespruit Beach

The aim of this weekend's project is to extend love and support to the resilient residents who have had to bear the brunt of sewage issues and flooding, while beautifying the area.

TIDY Towns Amanzimtoti, in partnership with AfriForum and Sapphire Coast Tourism, invites the community to help transform Winklespruit Beach on October 21, at 08:00.

Tidy Town’s coordinator Michelle Dunnett said, “Why have we chosen Winkle Beach, you might wonder? Well, this community has had to bear the brunt of sewage issues and flooding for far too long. It’s our chance to extend our love and support to these resilient residents. We envision transforming this beach into a true gem, a shining jewel on the Sapphire Coast.”

Some of the projects include painting buildings at the Winklespruit Surf Life Saving Club, moving benches and fences, putting up lights and painting the parking lines.

Bring your tools, paintbrushes, spades and sunscreen. Prepare for a day filled with joy, camaraderie and community spirit. “Together, we have the power to make it happen. We’re already on the journey, and we’d absolutely love for you to join us,” said Michelle.
