Operation Bobbi Bear receives gracious donation

The human rights organisation was the Gracious Ladies On Motorcycles’ charity of choice.

GLOW (Gracious Ladies on Wheels), with the help of sponsors, donated cash and much-needed groceries to Operation Bobbi Bear recently.

GLOW is a group of like-minded women who share a passion for cars and motorcycles and raising funds for charity.

The newly formed group, which took the reins of organising the car show that took place in The Square at the Amanzimtoti CBD on July 29, after the initial event at the Durban ICC was cancelled last minute, said it was only right to donate any leftover funds towards a charity in need.

On top of the cash donation to the human rights organisation, they also handed over some much-needed groceries.

GLOW’s Simone Hill said, “Hell’s Angels Motorcycle Club, which stands for the rights of children and abused women, had suggested Bobbi Bear as a beneficiary of the proceeds.”

She thanked the event’s sponsors: Audio Dimensions, Mark White Nissan and Pick ‘n Pay Galleria for coming on board and making the event a success.

Director of Bobbi Bear Eureka Olivier said, “What an awesome surprise when some bikers and members of GLOW arrived at the house with a donation of food and much-needed funds. Food remains an absolute gold item on a daily basis, with all these little humans to feed. We are truly so grateful for your kindness and generosity. It is people like you who make such a difference. Thank you again for the support.”
