Worms allegedly come out of a tap in Isipingo

eThekwini Municipality recently stood by the results of an independent laboratory that its water is safe to drink.

A VIDEO purporting to have been recently shot at Lotus Park’s Dahlia Court in Isipingo, showing worms in a bucket of tap water, has left many shocked as it refueled fears that the water provided by eThekwini Municipality might not be safe.

The worms allegedly came out of the kitchen tap in one of the units in the block of flats. The three still-alive worms could be seen wiggling about and accompanying the video is a warning that people should boil the water before drinking it.

eThekwini had responded to media queries at the time of publication, but two weeks ago, the Institute for Water and Wastewater Technology found municipal tap water to be safe to drink.
