Toti High’s matrics take first place again
Amanzimtoti and the surrounds fall under the Department of Education's Umlazi circuit, and Amanzimtoti High School came first in the circuit with 100% pass rate.
THE matric results for the class of 2022 were released on Friday, January 20, and Amanzimtoti High School has again topped the circuit with 100% pass rate. Last year, the school was number one with a 98.6% pass rate.
Amanzimtoti and the surrounds fall under the Department of Education’s Umlazi circuit.

In second place was Kuswag Skool with a 98.1% pass rate. Umkomaas’ Sidelile High came third at 97.3% and Kingsway High School came in fourth at 97.1%. Umgababa’s Esizibeni High School and Mcothoyi High School came fifth and sixth with 84.8% and 81.3% respectively.
The provincial pass rate of 83% is an improvement from 2021’s 77%. KZN MEC for Education Mbali Frazer will officially announce the matric results later in the day.
All the schools will be handing out statements to matriculants from 10:30.
