The club’s chairperson, Barry Walker, said 30 riders participated and they were all in high spirits as they looked forward to setting off. The cyclists donated some toiletries, sweets, and cash for the children at Jona Vaughan. The riders then left the clubhouse at 05:30 and cycled south along the R102, past Umgababa.

“The roadies turned at Scottburgh, and the MTB riders turned at Umkomaas. I would really like to thank all the riders who came out on Saturday as lots of goodies were collected for the children. We also managed to raise R2 000 in cash, as well. The children are going to enjoy the items donated by our riders. Well done to all who supported this event,” said Walker.
