Provincial colours for Umgababa lad

A YOUNG man from Umgababa is overthe moon after receiving his provincial surf lifesaving colours recently at an event held in Durban.

Bandile Ncanana has competed in a number of competitions as a member of the Durban Surf Lifesaving Club where he achieved outstanding results, leading him to be selected into the KZN surf lifesaving junior squad.
He completed matric in 2021 and took a gap to concentrate on surfing while pondering his next academic move.

“It feels amazing as it is the fi rst of many accolades to come. I’m proud of myself to be selected to this level of the sport,” said Bandile.
