“The team proceeded to a homestead where a search was conducted. A 24-year-old man was found in unlawful possession of a pistol, and another 29-year-old was found in possession of 24 capsules of heroin. Both men were arrested. While conducting the operation, the officers spotted a vehicle which was stopped and searched. Upon searching the boot of the vehicle, police officers found a stolen goat. A 43-year-old suspect was placed under arrest for stock theft. All three men will appear at the Umbumbulu Magistrate’s Court,” said Gwala.
