The JumpStart Challenge, a virtual fundraiser, can be completed at any time or location in the world.
DOUBLE amputee and South African para surfer, David Williams is challenging everyone to do what is possibly his most difficult challenge, walking.
Williams has committed himself to the JumpStart Challenge powered by Mr Price Foundation. The para surfer is determined to help break the cycle of poverty and inequality in South Africa.

The virtual fundraising event will take place from March 12 to 20, with a physical walk/run/ride being hosted at Holla Trails, Sugar Rush Park in Ballito on Sunday, March 13.
Funds raised will be used for JumpStart, a skills development programme for underserved South African youth, with an opportunity to enter the exciting world of retail.
“Three kilometers is not an easy feat for me. With a disability, walking is literally my weakest point. It’s painful, if I’m willing to push myself for a 3km walk that is very difficult for me, I urge fully abled people to take on the challenge,” he said.
Former SA rugby stars Springboks Cedric Mkhize and Jeremy Thomson, and former Australian cricket legend, Matthew Hayden have also endorsed the challenge, urging the public to do their bit to make a difference.
The JumpStart Challenge can be completed virtually, at any time or location in the world, from March 12 to 20. Sunday, March 13 is the big day for the physical event. The park will be open from 06:00 to 18:00 and a fun experience is anticipated.
With a variety of distances and disciplines to choose from, everyone can participate.
