Bodyboading champs a success

The entire team performed well in the competition that took place from Friday, October 1, and ended on Tuesday, October 5.

THE Warner Beach Bodyboarding and Blowout Bodyboarding clubs have returned from the Eastern Cape where they competed in the bodyboarding championships that took place in Port Alfred.

Both clubs are members of the Ugu bodyboarding Association (UBA), which is affiliated to the South African Bodyboarding Association. The entire team performed well in the competition that took place from Friday, October 1, and ended on Tuesday, October 5. Caitlin Steenkamp won the girls’ division and was awarded wave of the overall contest.

In the development division, Leo Molligan took fi rst place and Cameron Peace placed third. Sebastian Briel placed fourth in the boys’ division. In the junior division, Brayden Hewitt placed second and Ethan van der Merwe fourth. Jason Sequeira placed second in the drop-knee division. UBA is proud of the team’s achievement and congratulated everyone.
